Garmin Reactor
Works with Zora. Heading hold, wind hold, and 1° / 10° trim.
- The 10° trim asks the Reactor for one coarse step. The angle it turns is the Step Turn Size set on the GHC head, which Garmin ships at 10°.
- In heading hold, Zora reads the course the Reactor is holding, continuously while it is engaged.
- The Reactor reports its mode each time it changes, and a mode press at the GHC head or in Zora announces it again.
Required
- The GHC control head switched on whenever Zora is to steer.
What Zora will not do
- In wind hold, the target angle Zora shows is its own record of the angle it set and trimmed. Reading the held wind angle from the pilot is in development.

If it does not work
Zora accepts a command and the pilot does not move
With the GHC control head switched off, the Reactor acts on no command from Zora, and Zora reports no error. Switch the head on at the helm and send the command again, and the pilot takes it.
