Radar compatibility
A network radar plugs into the server's radar port and appears in Zora on its own. The image is shown on its own screen and over the chart, and transmit, range and gain are set from Zora.
A radar drives the server hard while it transmits: each radar stream takes a processor core of its own, and a dual-range radar is two streams.
Radars of different makes can run side by side, up to four at once.
A Raymarine radar with a RayNet connector is wired as in RayNet radar.

What the three answers mean
- Works with Zora. Zora drives this.
- Not supported. Zora cannot drive this. It is still visible on the bus.
- On the roadmap. Not built yet. It is on the list, with no date.
- Works, untested. Built, and not yet checked on a boat. Works, partly untested. The row names what has not been checked.
Raymarine Quantum 2, wired
Works with Zora. Image, chart overlay, transmit, range and gain, wired straight to the server with no plotter needed. The radar has no fixed address, so something on its network must hand it one.
Needs. The radar wired to the server's radar port; the radar software listens there and nowhere else, and the radar software on the server restarted after the radar is switched off and on while the server stays up, which support does remotely until it happens on its own; a DHCP server on the radar port when no Raymarine MFD is on the radar network, or on a boat with a Raymarine MFD on the radar network, the MFD as the only DHCP server, Zora's own DHCP on the radar port off, and the radar port holding an address on the MFD's network.
Models: Quantum 2 Q24D. Also called: quantum, quantum 2, q24d, raymarine radar, quantum doppler.
Raymarine Quantum Q24C on a W3 bridge
On the roadmap. The first-generation Quantum announces itself in a way the radar software in Zora does not recognise yet, so it is never found. The fix is written and waits for a release.
Needs. The radar wired to the server's radar port; the radar software listens there and nowhere else, and on a boat with a Raymarine MFD on the radar network, the MFD as the only DHCP server, Zora's own DHCP on the radar port off, and the radar port holding an address on the MFD's network.
Models: Quantum Q24C. Also called: q24c, quantum 1, quantum w3, quantum radome.
Navico HALO — Simrad, B&G and Lowrance
Works with Zora. Image, chart overlay, transmit, range, gain and modes, wired straight to the server with no plotter needed. Target boost cannot be set, and manual gain only applies in Custom mode.
Needs. The radar wired to the server's radar port; the radar software listens there and nowhere else, and a link-local address (169.254.1.1/16) on the server's radar port, kept in its network profile, for a HALO wired direct with no DHCP server on its network.
Models: HALO20+. Also called: halo, halo20, halo20+, halo 20+, simrad radar, b&g radar, lowrance radar, navico radar.
Navico HALO, other models
Works with Zora. Image, chart overlay and control from Zora, wired straight to the server with no plotter needed.
From the manufacturer's documentation, not yet tested on a boat.
Needs. The radar wired to the server's radar port; the radar software listens there and nowhere else, and a link-local address (169.254.1.1/16) on the server's radar port, kept in its network profile, for a HALO wired direct with no DHCP server on its network.
Models: HALO 20, HALO 24, HALO 2000 to 6000. Also called: halo 24, halo24, halo 20, halo 3000, halo 4000, halo 6000.
Garmin Fantom and Fantom Pro
Works with Zora. Image, chart overlay and control of the one range, with a Garmin plotter switched on on the same network. On a Fantom Pro the second range is not available from Zora.
Needs. The radar wired to the server's radar port; the radar software listens there and nowhere else, and a Garmin MFD powered on the same network, since the radar does not start without one, and the radar's transmit channel set to 1 once, before the first transmit from Zora; the radar software in the current image refuses a power command until it is.
Models: Fantom, Fantom Pro Range A. Also called: fantom, fantom pro, fantom 24, garmin radar, motionscope.
Garmin Fantom Pro, second range
Not supported. The second range of a Fantom Pro does not start from Zora. Run it from the Garmin plotter.
Needs. A Garmin MFD powered on the same network, since the radar does not start without one.
Models: Fantom Pro Range B. Also called: fantom pro dual range, range b, dual range garmin.
Garmin GMR HD
Works with Zora. The image shows. The radar's own status is never read, so Zora reports it as standby while it transmits, and its controls are not usable.
Not yet tested on a boat: Zora lays the radar image over the chart.
Needs. The radar wired to the server's radar port; the radar software listens there and nowhere else.
Models: GMR 18 HD, GMR 24 HD. Also called: gmr hd, 24hd, 18hd, gmr 24 hd, gmr 18 hd, garmin hd.
Furuno DRS-NXT
Works with Zora. Image, chart overlay and control from Zora. The radar port already sits on the address range these radars need.
From the manufacturer's documentation, not yet tested on a boat.
Needs. The radar wired to the server's radar port; the radar software listens there and nowhere else.
Models: DRS4D-NXT, DRS6A-NXT, DRS12A-NXT, DRS25A-NXT. Also called: drs-nxt, drs4d-nxt, drs6a-nxt, furuno radar, furuno doppler.
Furuno DRS4W 1st Watch
Works with Zora. A Wi-Fi radar that is its own access point. The radar software in Zora supports it, and the server has to be put on the radar's Wi-Fi for it.
From the manufacturer's documentation, not yet tested on a boat.
Needs. The server joined to the radar's own Wi-Fi access point, and the radar software allowed onto Wi-Fi, which the shipped setup does not do.
Models: DRS4W. Also called: drs4w, 1st watch, first watch, furuno wifi radar.
Furuno standalone radars with their own display
Not supported. These radars keep the image on their own screen and put no radar image on a network, so there is nothing for Zora to show.
Models: 1623, 1715, 1835. Also called: furuno 1623, furuno 1715, furuno 1835, standalone radar.
Navico Broadband — Simrad, B&G and Lowrance
Works with Zora. Image, chart overlay and control from Zora.
From the manufacturer's documentation, not yet tested on a boat.
Needs. The radar wired to the server's radar port; the radar software listens there and nowhere else.

Raymarine RD and HD radomes
Works with Zora. Image, chart overlay and control from Zora.

A radar that is not on this page
A radar that is not listed here is unknown, not incompatible. This page says what has been checked, and nothing has been checked about the rest.
Contact support with the make and the model of the radar and of any plotter it is wired to. Where it is a radar nobody here has seen, a session aboard to record what it puts on the network is how most of the families on this page got here.
