Tablets
A tablet opens Zora in its browser over the boat's network. It makes a good second screen: a crew station, a quick look at the boat from the cockpit or the saloon, the weather, a repeater. It is not suitable as the main navigation screen. Tablets go to sleep, pause pages in the background and slow down to save battery, and each of these interrupts live data. Use a touchscreen on a Mini PC, or a computer, for navigation.

Use Chrome, or Samsung Internet on a Galaxy tablet.
Settings
- Do not use a private or incognito tab. Zora will not start in one.
- Turn off auto-lock while Zora is open, or use Guided Access on an iPad.
- Turn off background app refresh for the browser.
- Keep the brightness moderate, so the tablet does not overheat.
- Use the boat's Wi-Fi, not mobile data. Wi-Fi 5 at least, Wi-Fi 6 is better, and place the tablet where the signal is strong.
