Documents
Keep manuals, invoices, photos and certificates with the equipment they belong to. A document is filed on one asset or folder, and you find it again by going to that asset.
Open Documents
Tap SCREENS in the app bar, then Documents on the Equipment tab.
On any Equipment screen you can also tap the screen's name at the top left and choose Documents from the list.
Choose the asset
The list shows the documents of the asset or folder you are on. The bar at the top says where that is:
- Tap All to go back to the top.
- Tap a name in the trail to pick another item at that level.
- Tap … at the end of the trail to go into a folder below.
- Tap the tree icon at the left to pick any asset or folder from the whole boat.
At All the list is empty. Documents always belong to an asset or a folder, so choose one first.
If you are already on an asset in Assets, switch to Documents and you stay on the same asset.
Add a document
- Go to the asset or folder the document belongs to.
- Tap new.
- Pick one or more files.
Zora uploads them and adds them to the list. You can add PDF, Word and Excel files, pictures, videos, sound files, text files and zip archives, up to 100 MB each. If one file in the batch is refused, none of them is uploaded; Zora says which file and why.
A file with the same name as one already on this asset replaces it.
You can also add a document from Assets: open an asset's ⋮ menu, then Add and Document. Zora switches to Documents on that asset and opens the file picker.
Open a document
Each row shows the name, the size and the date it was added. Tap the row to open it. PDFs, pictures, videos and text files open inside Zora, and the picture viewer also holds the other pictures of the asset. Other files open in the browser.
Share with the items below
A manual that covers a whole folder, for example the service manual of an engine range, can be filed once on the folder and shown on every asset inside it.
- Go to the folder and long-press the document.
- Turn on Share with the items below.
Every asset in that folder, and in the folders inside it, now lists the document after its own. The row there is read-only and names the folder it lives on. Tap that name to go to the folder, where you can rename, move or delete it.
Sharing is off for every new document.
Rename or delete
Long-press a document to open Edit file name.
- To rename it, change Title and tap rename. The file type stays as it was. Use letters, numbers, spaces, dots, dashes and underscores.
- To delete it, tap the bin at the top and confirm.
Move a document to another asset
The button at the bottom right of each row names the asset the document is filed on. Long-press it, pick another asset or folder, and the document moves there. A document shared from a folder above can only be moved from that folder.
Documents Zora adds
Zora can add the manufacturer's documents for equipment it knows. They show a cloud icon on the row. Zora replaces them when its catalogue changes. To keep one as it is, long-press it and tap Keep my copy. It is then yours, and Zora leaves it alone.
