Media Player ​

The Media Player plays a video file in a tile: a safety briefing, an introduction to the boat for guests. It plays without sound. For a live picture from a camera on board, use Video Camera.

Add it to a screen ​

In Edit Mode, open the media group and tap Media Player. It arrives 8 columns wide and 6 rows high.

Set it up ​

Open the widget's settings. The INFO tab has:

  • video url: the address of the video file. A new address plays as soon as you save.
  • Poster Image URL: the picture shown before the video plays.
  • type: the kind of file, video/mp4 unless yours is another format.
  • autoplay, loop and controls: type true or false. They start the video on its own, play it again when it ends, and show the play controls on the video. All three start as true.

Apply saves the widget.

The video fills the tile, and its edges are cut off when its shape differs from the tile's.
