Toggle Switch ​

A switch widget turns one circuit on board on and off: a light, a pump, a fan. The Toggle Switch and Toggle Flat styles draw it as a row, with the switch on the left, an icon and your label beside it. The switch shows the circuit's state as the boat reports it.

Add it to a screen ​

In Edit Mode, open the switches group and tap Toggle Switch or Toggle Flat. Either arrives 6 columns wide and 2 rows high.

The same group has Icon Button and Round Button. They are the same widget in another style, and share everything on this page.

Use it ​

Tap the row to switch the circuit. What a tap does depends on the Button Mode you chose.

  • A spinner beside the switch means Zora is waiting for the circuit to answer.
  • No response from data-link in red means the circuit did not report the new state within 5 seconds.

Set it up ​

Open the widget's settings. Apply saves the widget.

DESIGN ​

  • Button Style: Toggle Switch, Toggle Flat, Icon Button or Round Button. Changing the style keeps the widget's size.
  • Button Size: Small, Medium or Large.
  • Button Color: the colour of the switch when on: Primary, Info, Warning, Alarm or Success.

Preview shows the result as you choose.

INFO and ICON ​

  • label and label 2: the two lines of text beside the switch.
  • ICON: an icon between the switch and the label. It takes the button colour when the circuit is on.

SWITCH ​

Button Mode is what pressing the switch does:

  • On / Off: each tap sets the circuit to the other state.
  • Toggle: the same, but when the switch has a data link, it waits for the circuit to confirm before it moves.
  • Pulse: each tap sends a short press, for a circuit that changes state on a press.
  • Push: the circuit is on while you hold the switch and off when you let go.

Connection Type is how Zora reaches the circuit:

  • C-Zone (NMEA2000) and Maretron (NMEA2000): digital switching on the NMEA 2000 network. Choose the Bank and the Switch Number. No NMEA 2000 switch bus detected. means no switching device is heard; you can still type both numbers.
  • Victron GX: a relay of a Victron GX device. Choose the Victron Relay. The list comes from the Victron GX MQTT addon.
  • Modbus Relay: a relay board. Choose the Relay Board and the Channel. Boards are set up under Connections in the Setup app.
  • MQTT: Zora sends a message to your MQTT broker. Fill in MQTT ON Topic, MQTT ON Message, MQTT OFF Topic and MQTT OFF Message.
  • None: Zora sends nothing. The switch shows the value you link on the DATALINK tab.

This tab appears for MQTT and None, where Zora cannot read the circuit's state by itself. Link the value that reports the state. See A widget's data link. Then, back on the SWITCH tab under State feedback, list in Values that mean ON the readings that count as on.

The NMEA 2000, Victron GX and Modbus Relay connections report their own state, so they have no DATALINK tab.
